Susan Bradshaw

Susan grew up in Stillorgan, Co Dublin and was educated at the Holy Child School, Killiney.

She qualified as a State Registered Nurse in 1975 in St Vincent’s Hospital, Elm Park.  She then moved to London where she trained as a Midwife in the Middlesex Hospital in London.  Susan undertook a 2 year course in renal dialysis and transplant at Charing Cross Hospital where she continued to work in the Dialysis Unit.    Susan returned to Dublin and worked in the Dialysis Unit  at St Mary’s Hospital in the Phoenix Park for a further 2 years.

Susan then changed direction and became an air hostess  with Aer Lingus,  rising to cabin manager and worked here for 12 years. While with Air Lingus  she returned to nursing each winter, working in St James Hospital and St Vincents Private Hospital.

She returned to  full time  nursing  in 1992 and worked as a Staff Nurse  in the Day Surgery in the Blackrock Clinic before starting her own complementary therapy practice in Foxrock. Susan is a qualified Aromatherapist,  Reflexologist and Reiki Therapist.  She had a particular interest in working with patients with cancer and also worked in the palliative care centre in the Beacon Hospital.

Susan joined Dun Laoghaire Surgery in 2008 and currently works here as a Practice Nurse / Midwife. She is a registered smear taker with Cervical check.

She is married with 2 daughters.  Susan is a very keen sports enthusiast, she swims every day in the 40 foot, plays tennis and golf, and is also a very keen walker.
